Semiweekly essays focused on abuses of power, anti-science nonsense, authoritarian sympathies, systemic vulnerabilities, institutional failures, and political malfeasance. And a bit of culture to fight the darkness.

Who am I to write a newsletter about things?
I have been a journalist and writer of political material for nearly twenty-five years, including building and leading newsrooms at the town and city levels in the Greater Boston area, as well as a half-decade as a statewide stringer for The Boston Globe, which included page-one stories. I am a mentor for The Resolution Project, working with social entrepreneurs who are creating new access to women's health services in Kenya and sustainable food initiatives in Sierra Leone. I’ve been a content marketer for about 15 years, creating long-form and multimedia stories about everything from programmatic advertising to philanthropy for technology and consumer brands of all sizes worldwide.
You might have found me in the days I toured the U.S. and the U.K. from 1998–2004, playing politically aware songs, sometimes solo and sometimes with a band, sharing billings with artists such as Hamell on Trial, Dan Bern, Michael McDermott, John Sinclair, Bill Miller, and Freedy Johnson. Or maybe we first connected when, from 2022 to 2024, I hosted the podcast version of All Your Days, focusing on how creative careers evolve over time.
Otherwise, some things to know about my work in this world: I have a master's and a Ph.D. in editorial studies; my dissertation focuses on unpublished writings by Bob Dylan. Oxford University Press and other publishers have issued several of my writings about Dylan's work; OUP has also published my annotated bibliography of works about the director John Cassavetes. My documentary about Bob Dylan's unpublished writings has been added to The Bob Dylan Archive in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In all cases, welcome to All Your Days. This is where you’ll find me now.
